Friday Kids Night In Virtual Cooking Class | Breakfast for Dinner – Buttery Biscuits & Omelets | Age 8-14

The cooking fun must go on so join us for our virtual cooking class held online via Zoom. Kidinary chefs spring into all the fabulous spring flavors in April with us and Mom/ Dad takes a break from cooking this Friday Night with Kids Night In. Your budding chef will prepare a meal that serves at least 6 people. We will be springing into learning a breakfast favorite with a gourmet spin that makes it nutritiously delicious.

Important Note: This will be a small-group cooking class that is held live, so a computer or Phone/ Tablet on a stand is required. This allows us to give students feedback and continuing our fun social cooking environment virtually.  Once you have completed registration you will receive a registration confirmation. 24 hours before the class you will receive a link to the meeting along with the required password. Below is a list of ingredients and supplies needed for our virtual cooking classes. All of our virtual classes use standard cooking equipment, no special equipment needed.

Recipes and classes do require adult supervision during the end of classes cooking portion to ensure student’s safety. Recipes require the use of a knife so please have a kid-friendly knife available. We use plastic lettuce knives in class, but you can also use a butter knife from home.

Class Time: 4- 5:15 pm

Menu & Shopping List: Please note upon registering and noting any allergies our staff will send over allergies substitutions if needed. 

  • Homemade Biscuits & Omelet
    • 2 Cup all-purpose flour (plus more for flouring surfaces) 
    •  4 Teaspoon Baking Powder 
    • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda 
    • 1 Teaspoon Salt 
    • 1 teaspoon of Sugar 
    • 12 Tablespoons butter
    • 1 Cup cold buttermilk, or whole milk mixed with 1 tablespoon of white vinegar or apple cider vinegar or lemon juice 
 (no worries if you do not have vinegar) 
    • 2 eggs for Each Person Eating
    • 1 Tbs water 
    • Shredded Cheese 
    • Veggies of Choice: like tomatoes, onion, spinach, etc. (optional if unavailable) 
    • Salt & Pepper  

Supplies: Skillet, Bowls, Whisk, Measuring Cup & Spoons, Butter Knife, Cutting Boards, Spatulas, Baking Sheet, Saute Pan
